Donna D. Doan, 77, Bardstown

Donna D. Doan, 77, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Boston. She was formerly employed by Johnson Control as a data processor and was a member of Shepherdsville Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald E. and Allie Catherine Toole Carter.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles L. Doan of Bardstown; two sons, Greg Doan and his wife Sheila Doan of Shepherdsville and Donnie Doan and his wife Debbie Doan of Bardstown; one sister, Darlene Haley of Shepherdsville; three grandchildren, Amy Wright and her husband Brian Wright, Megan Doan, and Lincoln Doan; two great-grandchildren, Evan Wright and Emma Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Pastor Benedict Rigor officiating.

Visitation is 2-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at the funeral home with cremation to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Kosair Children’s Hospital or the Shepherdsville Christian Church.
