Robert Lewis Pennington, 70, Bardstown

Robert Lewis Pennington, 70, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at his home. He was a native of Woodford County, a former employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation, a farmer, and a member of the Bloomfield Church of God of Prophecy.

He was the son of the late John and Dorothy McIntosh Pennington and was preceded in death by a brother, John Clifford.

He is survived by his wife, Robbie Hood Pennington; one daughter, Teresa (Ricky) Prewitt and her husband Ricky Prewitt of Bardstown; two brothers; Clyde Pennington and his wife Susie Pennington, and David Pennington and his wife Ruby Pennington, all of Bardstown; and two grandchildren, Travis Prewitt and Trevor Prewitt, both of Bardstown.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral home with Bro. Millard Ledford officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Nelson County.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
