Esther Mae Cecil Ritchie Fix, 83, Mesa, Ariz.

Esther Mae Cecil Ritchie Fix, 83, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of New Haven, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Mesa, Ariz. She was a member of Little Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, and a former member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven.

She was born July 12, 1928, in Holy Cross, and was a homemaker. She loved square dancing and helped establish the Haven Hoppers.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 26 years, George M. Ritchie; her second husband of 33 years, Raymond Paul Fix; one son, Jerry Ritchie; and one daughter, Lynn Ritchie.

Survivors include five sons, Mike Ritchie and his wife Joanne Ritchie, and Wayne Ritchie and his wife Cheryl Ritchie, all of Lexington, Randy Ritchie and his wife Peggy Ritchie of Barsdtown, Keith Ritchie and his wife Phyllis Ritchie of St. Louis, and Kevin Ritchie of Mesa, Ariz.; seven daughters, Arlene Wilson and her husband Dave Wilson of Nicholasville, Helen Ann Hawke and her husband George Hawke of Bardstown, Katherine Anderson and her husband Will Anderson of Mesa, Ariz., Christy Boone and her husband Kevin Boone of Bradfordsville, Cindy Burke and her husband Steve Burke of Mesa, Ariz., and Renee Kim of Mesa, Ariz.; and one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Ritchie of Mesa, Ariz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in St. Catherine of Alexandria cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
