Bardstown firefighters respond to active alarm at physician’s office

Sunday, May 20, 2012, 3:20 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to 875 Pennsylvania Avenue, Dr. Sewell’s office at 1 Sunday afternoon for an active fire alarm called in by the alarm company. Firefighters found a strong burnt electrical smell and a light haze in the building. The odor was traced electrical panels in the MRI room. Power was removed from that area of the building and a service company was contacted for repairs.
