James Richard Clayton Sr., 75, Bardstown

James Richard Clayton Sr., 75, of Bardstown, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was a self employed tree surgeon, a Marine Veteran of the Korean War and of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include four sons, James Richard Clayton Jr., of Montclair, Va., John Clayton of Cox’s Creek, Kerry Lee Clayton of Lancaster, Calif., and Charles Anthony Clayton of Japan; and two daughters, Betty Jean Clayton of North Carolina and Naomi Verlee Avila of Bardstown.

The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Lebanon National Cemetery.

Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
