Woman suffers cut to throat during domestic altercation

Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 11:45 p.m. — A 49-year-old woman suffered a 3-1/2 to 4-inch cut to the front of her throat Wednesday night as the result of a domestic altercation at a residence in the 300 block of East O’Bryan Avenue. The call for Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS went out about 10:45 p.m., with police arriving first. The victim told first-responders she was cut with a knife blade that was 4 to 5 inches long. EMS first-responders worked to control the bleeding and then transported the victim to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
