Bardstown firefighters respond to truck fire at concrete plant

Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 1:20 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the Irving Materials Inc.  concrete plant, 601 East John Rowan, for a truck reportedly on fire inside a building at 12:22 Wednesday afternoon. While firefighters were enroute, employees kept the fire from spreading to the building and from burning out of control. Once firefighters arrived the blaze was extinguished and the truck was checked for hot spots. Firefighters were on scene for about 40 minutes.
