Teen ejected from SUV in single-vehicle injury accident

Monday, June 11, 2012, 4:19 p.m. — A 17-year-old boy was injured Monday afternoon about 4 p.m. when he crashed the Mitsubishi SUV he was driving and was ejected. The accident happened on Filiatreau Lane near its intersection with Woodlwawn Road, with the SUV coming to rest on its top. Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene. EMS transported the victim to Flaget Memorial Hospital where the EMS crew met with a medical helicopter. The victim was flown to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment of his injures.
