Propane leak at Jim Beam Boston plant closes Lebanon Junction Rd.

Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 3:30 p.m. — The Boston Fire Department was called about 2:20 p.m. to a reported propane leak at the Jim Beam Brands’ Boston plant. Firefighters arrived to find employees had closed a valve to shut off the leak. Firefighters shut down traffic on KY 61, Lebanon Junction Road, while they determined if there were additional leaks at the site. The company has requested gas company representatives to respond to the plant to assess the problem. Firefighters were on scene for about 30 minutes.
