Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 sponsors Never Forgotten Poker run

Wednesday, July 4, 2012, 1 p.m. — Rolling Thunder Inc, Kentucky Chapter Four sponsored the Never Forgotten Poker Run. The event was held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 starting at Camp Knox Lodge, Radcliff with a delicious breakfast served and ending at the Army National Guard Armory in Bardstown. Participating in the three hour motorcycle ride were about 50 bikers who went on scenic Kentucky back roads. At the end of the run, a barbeque was served to everyone.

A total of $4,345 was raised which will help benefit our veterans and raise awareness of the POW/MIA issues. Tom Folsom was the winner in the first hand. The 50/50 drawing was won by Scott Yates. Joyce Newton won the raffle of a Remington 870 Express rifle. Many items were bid on during the live and silent auctions. All of those participating were awarded door prizes.

Monthly chapter business and membership meetings are held the first Sunday of the month in the Lebanon Junction Community Center, 135 N. Poplar St. Lebanon Junction, Kentucky. The next meeting will be held on August 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Meetings are open to the public. Dues are $30 per year and even though many of our members are veterans and ride motorcycles, it is not required to join.
