Joyce Marie Skaggs Dones, 60, of New Haven, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.She was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Ray and Effie Mae McNear Skaggs; and two brothers, Raymond and James Skaggs.
Survivors include four sons, Kelly Wayne Greenwell, Francis Edward “Ted” Greenwell, Lester Ray “Bo” Greenwell, and Joseph Hank Greenwell; two brothers, Floyd “Frog” Skaggs, and Donald “Duck” Skaggs, both of Hodgenville; two sisters, Mary Ann Miller, and Virginia (Bill) Gill and her husband Bill Gill, all of Boston; and three grandchildren, Tonya Marie Gaffney, Sarah Beth and Joseph Wayne Greenwell, and Kellina Greenwell of Texas.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in LaRue County.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the funeral home.
