City police arrest two New Haven men on meth-related charges

Tuesday, July 10, 2012, 4 p.m. — Two New Haven men were arrested on meth-related charges Tuesday morning about 11:30 and two other individual were cited by Bardstown Police following a surveillance detail by city police in the area of Kroger’s in Bardstown.

Detectives observed Troy Warren, 40, and Paul Edlin, 34, both of New Haven, inside the Bardstown Kroger store purchasing pseudoephedrine and an instant cold compress. After they returned to a white Ford passenger car operated by Ann Williamson, 48, of New Hope, they drove to the area of Cato’s, where they discarded the pseudoephedrine packaging. The group then made a stop at Wendy’s drive-through before they drove to the area of South Salem Drive where they were stopped for an expired license tag violation.

During the traffic stop, police seized drug paraphernalia, the opened and hidden pseudoephedrine pills and the instant cold compress. Warren and Edlin both had lithium batteries in their pockets. Police also recovered the pseudoephedrine packaging from near Cato’s.

Warren was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree, and possession of marijuana. Edlin was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree, and tampering with physical evidence. Both men were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.

Williamson was charged for the drug paraphernalia located in her vehicle along with the expired registration plate. Another passenger in the vehicle, Charles Carter, 42, of Boston, was charged with possession of marijuana. Williamson and Carter were cited and will answer to the charges in Nelson District Court.

Bardstown Police arrested two New Haven men and cited a New Hope woman and a Boston man on Tuesday, July 10th at approximately 11:30 am following a traffic stop.
