Jon Brock Burd, 28, New Haven
Jon Brock Burd, 28, New Haven, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at University Hospital in Louisville from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
He was a Catholic by faith and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope. He was an avid outdoorsman and was employed by Louisville Paving.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Kristen Cyprianne Burd; his paternal grandparents, Billy and Sue Burd; and maternal grandparents, David and Essie Mae Boone.
Survivors include one son, Jon Mason Burd; his parents, Glenn and Anna Boone Burd of New Haven; one brother, Ben Burd and his wife Kim Burd; one sister, Kellie Routt and her husband Oakes Routt; and two nieces, Carlee and Kinley Burd.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope with the Rev. Ken Fortener officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2012, and 8-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Thursday by Deacon Eddie Hutchins.
