Ada Elizabeth Hickman, 96, Bardstown

Ada Elizabeth Hickman, 96, of Bardstown, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born March 1, 1916, in Bardstown. She retired in 1982 after 25 years of service as a housekeeper at Nazareth. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Florence Mays Robinson; two brothers, Phillips Robinson and James Allen; and two sisters, Margaret “Maggie” Allen and Winnie Linton.

Survivors include her special caregivers, Teresa Brown and Sheri Monroe, both of Bloomfield.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
