Nelson Circuit Court indictments — Feb. 16, 2011

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011.  They are set for arraignment in Nelson Circuit Court March 2, 2011 unless otherwise indicated.

Luke Aldon Hasty, 30, Shepherdsville, first-degree robbery and complicity to same. According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 18, 2010, Hasty, either acting alone or in concert with Soloman Evans Jr., allegedly threatened to use physical force while armed with a gun in order to take money from Advanced America. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only plus conditions.

Soloman S. Evans Jr., 33, Shepherdsville, first-degree robbery and complicity to same. According to the indictment, on or about Nov. 18, 2010, Evans, either acting alone or in concert with Luke A. Hasty, allegedly threatened to use physical force while armed with a gun in order to take money from Advanced America. Bail was set at $200,000 cash only plus conditions.

Felicia Rayshaun “Fe” Williams, 27, Bardstown, first-degree trafficking in  controlled substances (2 counts); second-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, Williams allegedly sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.

Troy Lynn Collins, 39, Chaplin, cultivating marijuana, 5 plants or more; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (5 counts); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

Daniel A. Parsons, 31, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking over $500 but less than $10,000; third-degree possession of controlled substance, first offense; first-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, on or about Jan. 27, 2011, Parsons allegedly took a Playstation 3 game console, an Xbox 360, Udraw program, a blue ray DVD player and PS3 Access belonging to Wal-Mart. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.

Johnnie Jamerne Maddox, 33, Bardstown, first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (2 counts) and complicity to the same. According to the indictment, on Aug. 20, 2010 and Aug. 24, 2010 Maddox allegedly sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant, either alone or in concert with Michael Maddox. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.

Michael Lee Maddox, 30, Bardstown, first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (2 counts) and complicity to the same; first-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, on Aug. 20, 2010 and Aug. 24, 2010 Maddox allegedly sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant, either alone or in concert with Johnnie J. Maddox. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.

Derek Grant “Freezie” Bailey, 26, Columbia, second-degree assault. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.

David W. Phelps, 32, Bardstown, theft by deception, $500 or more (3 counts). According to the indictment, on or about Dec. 11, 13 and 15, 2011, Phelps wrote checks to Radio Shack of Bardstown for $635.99, $657.17 and $635.99 knowing they would not be honored by their respective banks. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

Chadwick D. Case, 18, Bardstown, second-degree burglary and complicity to same; theft by unlawful taking over $500 but less than $10,000 and complicity to same. According to the indictment, on or about Jan. 24, 2011, Case allegedly entered a residence with the intent to commit a crime, and unlawfully took a television, various DVD movies, jewelry, video camera and coins, either alone or in concert with Ricky Harper Jr. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

Ricky Wayne Harper Jr., 18, Bardstown, second-degree burglary and complicity to same; theft by unlawful taking over $500 but less than $10,000 and complicity to same. According to the indictment, on or about Jan. 24, 2011, Harper allegedly entered a residence with the intent to commit a crime, and unlawfully took a television, various DVD movies, jewelry, video camera and coins, either alone or in concert with Chadwick D. Case. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

Zachery L. Perkins, 21, Bardstown, first-degree possession of a controlled substance; second-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while committing the offense; possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm while committing the offense. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only with conditions.

Jackie Allen, 30, Bardstown, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and complicity to the same (9 counts); theft by deception under $500 and complicity to the same. According to the indictment, between Oct. 18 and Nov. 4, 2010, Allen, either acting alone or in concert with Natasha Moser and Elyn Fowler, allegedly passed nine forged checks totaling $835. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

Natasha Mouser, 27, Bardstown, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and complicity to the same (9 counts); theft by deception under $500 and complicity to the same. According to the indictment, between Oct. 18 and Nov. 4, 2010, Mouser, either acting alone or in concert with Jackie Allen and Elyn Fowler, allegedly passed nine forged checks totaling $835. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

Elyn Fowler, 51, Bardstown, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and complicity to the same (9 counts); theft by deception under $500 and complicity to the same; second-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, Fowler, between Oct. 18 and Nov. 4, 2010, either acting alone or in concert with Natasha Mouser and Jackie Allen, allegedly passed nine forged checks totaling $835. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

Walter L. Calhoun, 41, Lebanon, flagrant non-support; first-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, between March 1, 2000 through Jan. 31, 2011, Calhoun allegedly failed to provide support resulting in an arrearage of $10,414.36. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

Jeffrey Baunach, 38, Louisville, (2 counts) first-degree sexual abuse (victim under 12), amending indictment 11-CR-038. Bail was set at same as primary charges plus conditions.

Harold Asher, 47, Beverly, Ky., second-degree persistent felony offender. Amendment of indictment 09-CR335. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

Jonathan Galloway, 35, Columbia, MS, flagrant non-support. According to the indictment, from Nov. 1, 2009 through Jan. 31, 2011 Galloway allegedly failed to pay support resulting in an arrearage of $7,481.74. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

Rodricus O. Bryant, 42, Bakersfield, Calif., first-degree bail jumping. According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 28, 2010, Rodcricus allegedly failed to appear for his pre-trial conference in Nelson Circuit Court. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

Edward D. Burge, 37, Piqua, Ohio, flagrant non-support. According to the indictment, between Dec. 1, 2009 through Jan. 31, 2011, Burge allegedly failed to pay support resulting in an arrearage of $8,744.97. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions. Arraignment was set for March 3, 2011.
