Greg Gilkey, 54, Bardstown

Greg Gilkey, 54, of Bardstown, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at University Hospital in Louisville. He was born Nov. 17, 1957, in Bardstown. He was an employee of Barton Brands Distillery, a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Bardstown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Gilkey; and one brother, Charles Kevin Gilkey.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Gilkey of Barsdtown; his stepfather, Robert Downs, of Bardstown; two sisters, Pamela Susan Taylor of Bardstown, and Regina Mae Gilkey of Lexington; four brothers, William Earl Gilkey Jr. of Bowling Green, Donald Lee Gilkey of Louisville, Joseph Franklin Gilkey of Central City, and Patrick Allen Gilkey of Bardstown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 5 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with cremation to follow. Brother Darrell Goodlett will officiate.

Visitation is 2–5 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to Bardstown Baptist Church Building Fund.
