Bardstown Fire called to active alarm on South Third Street
Friday, July 13, 2012, 11:57 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called out Friday about 11:30 p.m. to 327 South Third St., the Nelson County multipurpose building, for an active fire alarm. Firefighters arrived to find heavy amounts of water flowing out of the building. The incident commander reported there were multiple activations of the fire sprinkler system inside the building, but there was no fire. A building representative told firefighters the sprinkler company had been on site earlier in the day. Firefighters stayed on scene for about 30 minutes.
