Bobby Simpson files for 7th term on Bardstown City Council

Monday, July 30, 2012, 10:10 a.m. — Bardstown resident Bobby Simpson filed this morning for another term on the Bardstown City Council. Simpson was elected to the council in 2000 and is seeking his seventh term.

The council has six members who serve two-year terms and are elected “at-large,” representing all of the city rather than one district or precinct. The deadline to file as a candidate for one of the six council seats is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012. Contact the Nelson County Clerk’s office for more information on how to file for one of the non-partisan races on the November ballot.
