Two adults, one juvenile charged in Camptown Road burglary attempt

Monday, July 30, 2012, 3:30 p.m. — Two Bardstown men and a 17-year-old juvenile were apprehended by Bardstown Police early Saturday morning after they allegedly attemepted to break into a home in the 400 block of Camptown Road.

According to witnesses, Brian M. Swiger, 18, of Bardstown, Joshua Olliges, 24, of Bardstown and a juvenile were spotted allegedly trying to break into a home. According to police, the three allegedly attempted to gain entry from the rear of the home but were unsuccessful. They allegedly then tried to gain entry from the front of the home, removing a screen and forcing open a window. They failed to enter the home.

Swinger and Olliges were arrested and charged with attempted burglary, second-degree. The juvenile was also charged with attempted burglary, second-degree.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 348-6811.
