Lavita Gail Jackson Chesser, 49, New Haven
Lavita Gail Jackson Chesser, 49 of New Haven, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was a Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Rolling Fork Baptist Church, and Boston chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ora Mae Wallace Jackson; and one brother, Roger Jackson.
Survivors include one son, David Alan Chesser II of New Haven; one daughter, Brandy Nicole Meredith of New Haven; her loving companion of 33 years, David Alan Chesser; four sisters, Norma Downs, Patty Curtsinger both of Bardstown, Henrietta Smith of Tennessee, Genny Rucker of Gleanings; two brothers, Danny Jackson of Boston and Freeman Jackson of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Zackery Chesser and Paityn Chesser; and several aunts, uncles, mieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with Bro. Bruce Nichols presiding. Burial will be in Rolling Fork Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home. An Eastern Star Service is 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
