Ray Sadler Jr., 67, Bardstown

Ray Sadler Jr., 67, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Louisville. He was a retired truck driver for Smith Brothers Trucking. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, a member of the board of directors of Camp Calvary in Willisburg, a member of Bullitt Masonic Lodge # 155 F & AM, and Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitch Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Sadler of Bardstown; two daughters, Becky Burton and her husband Sean Burton of Louisville, and Veronica Donahue and her husband Kenny Donahue of Chaplin; two sons, Michael (Deborah) Goodman and his wife Deborah Goodman of Lebanon Junction, and Jeff Goodman of Deatsville; his mother, Bea Smith of Louisville; one sister, Linda (J.D.) Bayles and her husband J.D. Bayles of Spring City, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Gary Chesser and Bro. Ron Downs will officiate.

Visitation is 4–8 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 7, 2012, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Memorial contributions may go to Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
