Lydian, Williams file to retain their seats on Bardstown City Council
Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, 3 p.m. — Longtime Councilman Francis Lydian filed this morning to keep his seat on the Bardstown City Council.
Roland “Coach Roe” Williams filed Wednesday to run to keep his seat on the city council as well.
So far seven candidates have filed for Bardstown City Council: incumbents Lydian, Williams, Tommy Reed, and Bobby Simpson; former councilman John Royalty; Peter Trzop and Mark Ballard. Ballard ran for city council two years ago; Trzop is the father of Pete Trzop who ran in the three-way race for Nelson County Judge Executive in November 2000.
The deadline to file for the local races on the November ballot is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14.
