Two arrested after police investigate early Sunday gunshots on Ashberry Drive
Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, 2:15 a.m. — Two people were arrested Sunday evening after Bardstown Police investigated numerous reports of gunshots fired in the area of Ashberry Drive and Camptown Road. The first reports of gunfire came just after midnight Sunday morning. Additional reports of gunshots were reported to Nelson County Dispatch repeatedly through 3:40 a.m. Sunday. City police officers combed the area and found shell casings outside an apartment in the 100 block of Ashberry Drive where the shots apparently originated. Bardstown Police arrested two men at about 9:15 Sunday evening in connection with the Sunday morning gun fire. Police also recovered a weapon that may have been involved in the incident.
