National speaker, physician to discuss the problems with the Affordable Care Act
Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, 11 a.m. — Retired physician Dr. Fred Pierce will speak Friday night on one of the hottest issues in the news, and one of the central points of debate in the presidential election — the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as “ObamaCare.”
“It isn’t what the law says that is the problem, but how the law is interpreted and how the regulations are written that are troubling,” he has said in his presentations.
Pierce’s presentation, “A Closer Look at ObamaCare” will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the American Legion Post 121, 206 West Broadway in Bardstown. There is no admission to attend the event.
Pierce will discuss the problems in the legislation, and how the regulations written for the law will impact American’s access to healthcare, including the HSS mandate that will force religous organizations to provide insurance coverage that violate their moral and religous tenets.
Pierce’s speaking tour has taken him all across the midwest since he began speaking out about the law in 2010.
