Joyce Boyd Stratton, 93, of Mayfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Mills Manotr Personal Care Center in Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Stratton, former owner of West Kentucky Broadcasting Co.
Survivors include five sons, Andy Stratton and his wife Alice Stratton of Mayfield, Tony Stratton and his wife Julie of Cincinnati, Tim Stratton and his wife Cindy of Chapel Hill, N.C., his twin brother Paul Stratton of Chapel Hill, N.C., and managing partner of WBRT Roth Stratton and his wife Lisa of Bardstown; one sister, Norma Boyd, 95, of Hopkinsville; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. CDT Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield.
The family requests that donations in honr of Joyce Stratton take the form of donations to local charities such as the Nelson County Community Clinic and Hospice of Nelson County.
