Bettie Ritchie, 74, of Bardstown

Bettie Ritchie, 74 of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Nelson County. She retired from the old Bardstown Sewing Factory and was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ernest and Bertha Mae Stewart; two sisters, Mary Lee Bowman and Dorothy Mae Foster; two brothers, Robert Ernest Stewart Jr. and Billy Joe Stewart; and a great-grandson, Hunter Ray Marks.

She is survived by four daughters, Vickie Brammer, Carol Carey, Becky Linton and her husband Glenn, and Jennifer Unseld and her husband Alan, all of Bardstown; one sister, Anita Beam of Bardstown; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 .m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at the funeral home. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will be officiating.

Memorial contributions may go towards the funeral service of Bettie Ritchie.
