Burris A. Rardin, 86, Bardstown

Burris A. Rardin, 86, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was born Jan. 20, 1926, in California, Ky. He was a Marine Corps. veteran and retired after 30 years as the Nelson County Extension Agricultural Agent. He was a member of Springfield Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by on daughter, Deborah Lynn Hathaway; and one brother, Carl Ray Rardin.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Rardin of Bardstown; one daughter Melanie Dawn Rardin of Nashville; one brother, Wilbert Leroy Rardin of Ohio; one granddaughter, Valerie Ann Stockton and her husband Clay, both of Edmond, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Marie Stockton, Kenley Grace Stockton and Heston Grant Stockton, all of Edmond, Okla.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in Barstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday. Aug. 212, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Wilkins will be officiating and the Rev. Jessie Burns will assist.

Memorial contributions may go to Springfield Christian Church or Cap Calvary Christian Service Camp.
