Police called for possible burglary at former OKH Intermediate School

Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, 11:30 a.m. — Bardstown Police were called to investigate an apparent break-in at the former Old Kentucky Home Intermediate School, 219 East Muir Ave. A groundskeeper called Nelson County Dispatch to report the incident and asked police to meeting him at the side gym door. The property is owned by the City of Bardstown. The City acquired the property in a land swap with the Nelson County School District. The City traded a 1.8 acre tract adjacent to its Early Learning Center on Cardinal Drive for the former school located at 219 East Muir.
