State Rep. David Floyd to discuss legislative process on ‘Brooks & Co.’

Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, 6:30 p.m. — State Rep. David Floyd of Bardstown will discuss the legislative process and how bills with broad support can be squelched by the committee process during a live telephone interview Tuesday on WBRT’s “Brooks & Company” program.

Floyd has been criticized in state and local media for adding pro-life amendments to existing legislation. House Democratic leadership has also taken him to task for the practice, which Floyd defends as simply an attempt to have legislation with broad support brought to the House floor for discussion.
