19-year-old taken to hospital after intentional overdose

Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, 8:40 p.m. — A 19-year-old man was taken Saturday evening to Flaget Memorial Hospital after he took an intentional overdose of a prescription medicine. Nelson County EMS and police were called to response to the 100 block of Grant Avenue for a suicidal teenager. At one point, the man was locked in a room, but did cooperate once police and EMS arrived. The man was believed to have ingested 15 1mg pills of Ativan. The call for EMS wad dispatched at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
