Christine Tate, 89, Bloomfield

Christine Tate, 89, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. She was the former Christine Reardon, a native of Boyle County, and a member of the Little Union Baptist Church where she was formally a Sunday school teacher and pianist. She and her late husband Amos Tate were members of the Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief Team, and she was a homemaker.

She was the daughter of the late Elza and Mary Lamb Reardon, and was preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Mattingly and Mildred Hood; one son, Benny Tate; and a grandson, Jacky Wayne Mattingly.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Munsie and her husband Gary, both of of Mount Washington, June Morris and her husband Eugene, both of Chaplin, and Sharon Bugg and her husband Wayne, both of Bloomfield; one son, Burman (Luenette) Tate and his wife Luenette, both of Bardstown; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the Little Union Baptist Church with Bro. Will Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
