Two injured Friday in two-car collision in front of St. Joe

Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, 10:30 p.m. — Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of Cathredral Manor and West Stephen Foster Avenue.

The crash followed a short police chase when a Bardstown Police officer attempted to stop a silver Chevrolet Malibu that had been reported as driving erratically. When the officer attempted tp stop the Malibu northbound on Cathedral Manor, the driver of the Malibu did not stop but accelerated instead. The officer chased the Malibu until it crashed into another car in front of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral.

Nelson County EMS transported two people from the scene. The driver of the Malibu, a 38-year-old female, complained of pain in both legs. A 37-year-old male was transported complaining of ankle pain, cuts and abrasions.
