Boston, Bardstown firefighters called to help locate woodland fire

Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, 2 a.m. — The Bardstown and Boston fire departments were dispatched Saturday evening to help locate a woodland fire believed to be near the Bullitt-Nelson County line. Boston firefighters searched areas north of Boston Road from Wilson Creek Road to Hurricane Hills, as well as Timber Trails and Vittitow Lane. Barsdtown firefighters checked the areas of Wheeler Road and Airport Road, and also Harrison Fork Road. Bullitt County firefighters were trying to locate the fire area. Firefighters determined the fire was in Bullitt County and possibly in the Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest. The call for firefighters came just before 10 p.m.
