JOHN ERNEST CLARK
John Ernest Clark, 85 of New Haven, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at his residence. He was a Catholic by faith, and a member of the St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. He was an U.S. Army veteran with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a retired employee of General Electric in Louisville as an inspector in Building One.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Felix and Elizabeth Marie Greenwell Clark; two sisters, Flora Nell Ballard, and Mary Thelma Cross.
Survivors include his wife,, Alice Ione Edlin Clark;
five daughters, Donna Pottinger and her husband Ramey, both of New Haven, Rhonda Knapp and her husband Ron, both of Lexington, Jill Carrico and her husband Jim, both of New Haven, Tammy Barrell and her husband Billy, both of Richmond, and Theresa Eagan and her husband Phil, both of Virginia Beach, Va.;
12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in New Haven with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Troy Overton will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service 6 p.m. Wednesday.
