Mabel Jean Werner Bryan, 81, New Haven
Mabel Jean Werner Bryan, 81, of New Haven, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. She was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was retired from the Nelson County Board of Education after 32 years of service having taught in New Haven and New Hope. She was born Dec. 11, 1930 to Robert “Bob” and Berenice Mouser Werner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Anthony Logue Bryan; three brothers, James Robert Werner, Paul Werner and Pat Werner; and one sister, Viola Werner Baird.
Survivors include one son, Jo Bob Bryan and his wife Stefanie, both of New Haven; one daughter, Laura Willett and her husband Tim, both of New Haven; two brothers, Jerry Werner and his wife Julia, and Acy Werner and his wife Judy, all of Bardstown; one sisters, Mary Blair of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Austin Willett, Warner Bryan and Macaul Bryan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2012, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, and 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St. in New Haven. A prayer service is 5 p.m. Friday.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
