Willard L. Snellen, 70, Bardstown

Willard L. Snellen, 70, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born Jan. 23, 1942, in Bullitt County. He was retired from American Fuji Seal. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post 121.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Lillie Snellen and one daughter, Amy Beth Snellen.

He is survived by three sons, Jeff Snellen, Chris Snellen and John Snellen and his wife Kara, all of Bardstown; one daughter, Kellie Rogers and her husband Chris, both of Bardstown; six sisters, Martha Reed and Bernice Sims, both of Samuels, Jean Valley and Thelma Masterson, both of Bardstown, Carolyn Schumacher of Louisville, Darlene Holt of Harrodsburg and Thelma Masterson of Bardstown; five brothers, Joe Satterly, Billy Snellen, Richard Snellen and John “Buck” Snellen, all of Bardstown, and Timmy Snellen of Botland; five grandchildren, Sydney Collins, Sydney Reiter, Tori Atilano, Addie Atilano and Brynlee Rogers; and his former wife, Jane Snellen of Bardstown.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate.

Visitation is 8-9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
