Additional players injured during Bardstown-Fort Knox football game
Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, 9:20 p.m. (UPDATED 11:30 p.m.) — As many as three players in the Bardstown-Fort Knox football game were injured Friday night. Nelson County EMS was called about 9 p.m. for a report of a 17-year-old player who lost consciousness after being tackled in a play. A physician at the game said the teen experienced what appeared to be seizure activity for several minutes. EMS transported the teen to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment.
OTHER PLAYERS INJURED. According to individuals who attended the game, two more players were taken to the hospital by privately owned vehicle for injuries sustained during the game. The nature of those injuries was unknown.
