Charles A. Scrogham, 76, Bloomfield
Charles A. Scrogham, 76, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Fairview. He was a retired self-employed farmer and school bus driver, and a member of Van Buren Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Fannie Scrogham; and one brother, Junior Scrogham.
He is survived by his wife, Suerene Scrogham of Bloomfield; one son, Tony Allen Scrogham of Chaplin; one daughter, Sandra Faye Scrogham of Bloomfield; five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Stansberry of Shepherdsville, Lois Newton of Anderson County, Ruby Hagerman of Chaplin, Helen Coulter and Ellen Hellard both of Fern Creek; three brothers, Robert Scrogham of Lawrenceburg, Floyd Lee Scrogham of Cox’s Creek, and Wayne Scrogham of Stamping Ground; two grandsons, Allen Scrogham and his wife Laverna, and Anthony Scott Scrogham, all of Chaplin;
and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. The Rev. Paul Hagerman and the Rev. Winfred Hagerman will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, and 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at the funeral home.
