John R. ‘Bobby’ Nalley, 69, of Harlan, formerly of Marion County

John R. “Bobby” Nalley, 69, of Harlan, formerly of Marion County, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1943, in Marion County. He was a former tobacco farmer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mattingly; his father, Albert Nalley, three brothers, Charles Benningfield, Lawrence Mattingly and Elmer Mattingly.

Survivors include five daughters, Sandra Lamb and her husband Rodney, Tammy Daniels and her husband Roger, Angelia Brewer and her husband Jim, all of Harlan, Renee Artreche and her husband Gerson, both of Beloit, Wis. and Debbie Lamb of Williamsburg; one sister, Bernice Reynolds of Campbellsville;
one brother, David Benningfield and his wife Brenda, both of New Haven; two sisters-in-law, Margie Benningfield of New Haven and Cheryl Mattingly of Loretto; 16 grandchildren, Nicole Brooks and her husband Michael, James De La Torre and his fiancée, Kasey Tolliver, Debra Witt, Meagan Witt, Corissa Daniels, Houston Daniels, Whitney Brewer, Hunter Brewer, Kateline Brewer, Amanda Artreche, Austin Artreche, Abbigail Artreche, Andrew Artreche, Destiney Lamb, Ray Dillman (Niki), April Lamb, seven great-grandchildren, Annabelle Brooks, Ethyn Carr, Caylee Witt, Aubree Brewer, Michaela Snyder, Kiera Snyder, and Karissa Snyder; and several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with cremation to follow. The Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will officiate.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the funeral home.
