Nelson County EMS, police respond to reported suicide by hanging

Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, 12:30 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and police were sent to a home on Tom Ballard Lane in the Greenbrier community for a suicide attempt by a male subject who hung himself. The call came into dispatch about 11 p.m. The victim was found unconscious and CPR was attempted while EMS was en route. EMS requested the coroner, who pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
