Firefighters called for odor investigation at First & E. Broadway
Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, 7:05 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the area of North First Street and East Broadway for an odor investigation for the smell of natural gas. Firefighters investigated and found the eternal flame at the War Memorial had been extinguished and was leaking gas and was the source of the odor. Firefighters re-lit the flame and cleared the scene after about 10 minutes.
