Amos Leroy Fulkerson, 50, Bardstown

Amos Leroy Fulkerson, 50, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his home. He was born March 1, 1962, in Nelson County, was a former employee of Fishel Company and the Nelson County Landfill and was a member of the Bloomfield Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wylmer and Joy Mae Brown Fulkerson; and three brothers, Joe Fulkerson, Sammy Lewis Fulkerson and John Edward Fulkerson.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia McCubbins Fulkerson of Bardstown; one son, Johnathon Fulkerson of Bardstown; one daughter, Chasity Fulkerson of Bardstown; 12 brothers, Charles Fulkerson and his wife Wanda, Allen Fulkerson, Phillip Fulkerson and his wife Shirley, Harold (Theresa) Fulkerson and his wife Theresa, Robert Fulkerson and his wife Jeanie, Guy Fulkerson and his wife Carol, Marshall Fulkerson and his wife Ann, Benny Fulkerson, Wayne Fulkerson and his wife Patty, Michael Fulkerson and his wife Linda, all of Cox’s Creek, Marvin Fulkerson and his wife Susan, both of Colbert, Okla., Felix Fulkerson and his wife Patty, both of Shepherdsville; four sisters, Katie (DeWayne) Thomas and her husband DeWayne, both of Cox’s Creek, Darlene (Freddy) Boone and her husband Freddy, and Barbara (David) Shields and her husband David, all of Bardstown, and Joyce (Butch) Williams and her husband Butch, both of Shepherdsville; two stepsons, Jesse McCubbins and Jason McCubbins, both of Bardstown; one stepdaughter, Jessica Culver and her husband Paul, both of Bardstown; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service is 3 p.m.. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the Bloomfield Church of God with the Rev. Tim VanHook officiating.

Visitation is noon-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the church.
