Bill N. Mattingly, 89, Bardstown

Bill N. Mattingly, 89, of Bardstown, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Nelson County. He was a retired truck driver for Bardstown Transfer, a 50 year Mason of Duval Lodge # 6, a member of Shriners International, and the Bardstown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Jean West; his parents, Sam and Grace Mattingly; and one brother, Sammy Mattingly.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Mattingly of Bardstown; one daughter, Elaine Riley and her husband Keith, both of Bardstown; two sons, Billy Mattingly and his wife Keri, both of Louisville and Anthony Mattingly and his wife Penny, both of Bardstown; one sister, Thelma Livers of Bardstown; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Barlow Funeral home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Bro. Josh Hitchcock will officiate.

Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, and 2-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 20122, at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be 4 p.m. Sunday.
