Thomas M. ‘Si’ Williams, 92, Bardstown,

Thomas M. “Si” Williams, 92, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Colonial Health & Rehab. He was born Jan. 9, 1920, in Maple Hill, Ky. He was a graduate of Chaplin High School, Campbellsville College, Transylvania University with a BA degree, and UK with a master’s degree in education. He was a retired educator for Nelson County School system, an Army Veteran of World War II, a volunteer firefighter in Bardstown, the first house manager for Stephen Foster Story, recipient of Nelson County Alumni of the Year award, a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, Nelson County Retired Teachers Association, and Bardstown Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Grayson Williams; one son, Thomas Grant “Tom” “Coach” Williams Sr.; and his parents, Thomas Marshall Williams Sr. and Iva Williams.

Survivors include one daughter, Sara Crume and her husband, Gary, both of Bardstown; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Williams of Bardstown; five grandchildren, Carolyn Williams, Catherine Williams, Grant (Jennifer) Williams, Benjamin Crume, Brittany Crume, and Isaac Crume, all of Bardstown; and two cousins, Lyda Lee Taylor and Jane Arnold both of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Pastor Freddy Riggs and the Rev. Eddie Benton will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go to donor’s favorite charity.
