First Cedar Creek to honor vets on Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11

Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 — In honor of Veteran’s Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will serve veterans breakfast starting with coffee at 9 a.m. for early arrivers and breakfast for all at 9:45 a.m. in the Educational Building. This activity is hosted by the church Sunday School Department.
The TFCCBC Historical Committee has been gathering and updating veterans’ information for several years. Posters with veterans’ pictures and military information will be displayed during the breakfast. Later the posters will be stored in the church Historical Room of the Educational Building. Veterans of the community and church are asked to contact Sam O’Bryan at (502) 377-6358 to make arrangements to submit information they want to share.
All veterans, especially members of the TFCCBC and the Cedar Creek community, are invited to attend this breakfast and, if the veteran chooses, the 11 a.m. morning worship service that follows in the church sanctuary.
The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church is located five miles west of Bardstown off Highway 62 (Boston Road) on Highway 733 (Bellwood Road).
