GEORGE RUSSELL    LEWIS SR.

George Russell Lewis, Sr., 54, of Willisburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at his home. He was born May 15, 1958 in Louisville. He was a former employee of Big O Tires in Bardstown and a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Net” Lampkin Lewis and two step-fathers, John Lewis and Joseph Meece.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Burkhead Lewis; one daughter, Heather Lewis (Chris Curtsinger); one son, G.R. Lewis (Brittany Johnson); and three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Clark, Sarinity Clark and Kilee Johnson, all of Willisburg.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. the Rev. Dave Dugger will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Tommy Lampkin, Chris Curtsinger, Chris Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Shawn Johnson and Mike Lewis.

Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
