James Timothy Yocum, 33, Bardstown

James Timothy Yocum, 33, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, in Nelson County. He was born Dec. 23, 1978, in Bardstown, attended Nelson County High School and was an avid reader of the Bible.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Chuck” Mattingly.

He is survived by his son, Dakotah Yocum of Cox’s Creek; his daughter, Tori Yocum of Shepherdsville; his mother and her husband, Vicky and Brock Clark of Hodgenville; his former stepfather, Charles Yocum of Bardstown; two brothers, Charlie Yocum and Travis Yocum, both of Bardstown; one sister, Samantha Yocum of Bardstown; his maternal grandparents, Carol Streight of Cox’s Creek and Jimmy Girdley of Nelsonville; his paternal grandparents, Jackie Mattingly and Polly Clark, both of Bardstown; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home with a memorial service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Timmy’s memory.
