Marion County ambulance involved in crash while on emergency run
Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, 9:45 a.m. — Bardstown Police and Nelson County EMS were called to the intersection of North Salem Drive and East John Rowan for an accident involving a Marion County EMS ambulance and a Toyota passenger car. The Marion County ambulance crew were uninjured. A 17-year-old female in the passenger car was taken by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital complaining of neck and elbow pain. The patient being transported in the Marion County EMS ambulance was transferred to a Nelson County EMS ambulance and taken to Jewish South to meet a medical helicopter that flew the victim on to University Hospital. The Marion County accident victim was a 34-year-old male who suffered a head injury after falling off a bridge.
