George Harold Belden, 78, of Bardstown

GEORGE HAROLD BELDEN

George Harold Belden, 78, of Bardstown, died Saturday Nov. 17, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born March 18, 1934, in Indianapolis. Hr retired from Climax Molybdenum and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Lee Gilbertson; one son, Kent Belden; his parents, William and Mattie E. Belden; foster parents, Lillard and Earl Gribbons; four brothers, Bill Belden, Glen Belden, Leland Belden, and Robert Belden; and one sister, Brenda Overstreet.

He is survived by his wife, Aldene Belden of Bardstown; two sons, Leland Dale Belden of Bardstown, and William David Belden of Pueblo, Colo.;

four brothers, David Gribbons, Jimmie Gribbons, Ronnie Gribbons, and Donnie Gribbons; four sisters, Lee Benedict, Susie Bradshaw, Imogene Bradshaw, and Ann Hall; three nieces, Cathy Parks, Darlene Hargrove, and Lisa Turner; six grandchildren, Heather Bratcher, Warren Belden, Krysten Belden, Kendra Belden, Caylen Belden, and Mattie E. Belden; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

The memorial service is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home with Raymond Carrothers officiating. Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
