Woman dies in one-car crash on KY 52 east of New Hope

Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, 9 p.m. — One person died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash about a mile and a half east of New Hope of KY 52. New Hope Fire, Nelson County EMS, Kentucky State Police and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash scene. Once EMS arrived they immediately requested a medical helicopter, however when the helicopter arrived, the female victim was in full cardiac arrest. The victim died at the New Hope ballpark landing zone before she could be transferred to the helicopter. The crash closed KY 52 for more than two hours. The Kentucky State Police investigated the crash.
